Historical Context

This painting belongs to Zorn's series depicting folk life in Leksand parish, Dalarna. Leksand is one of the regions where traditional dress persisted longest. Zorn repeatedly painted villagers walking to church on winter Sundays. Content Description Tall vertical format showing a winter rural scene.
